Eve is nearly five - how did that happen?

Our youngest one is turning five this week!!

I'm not ready to let go of my sweet little four year old so I bottled her up in a short film so that I can always look back at those freckles and chubby little fingers.  You can also check out her first ever effort at riding without training wheels.

Easter egg hunt 2016

The Easter bunny came to visit last night & brought a bucketload of chocolate.

We'd love to share our special little Easter egg hunt video with you.  Please click through.

Movie: Christmas 2015

It's nearly the end of March, which has given me a big kick up the bum to finish off the video I made of our Christmas.

We were lucky enough to have a big family Christmas with Nick's family at the awesome family beach house.  Nine adults, five kids and one dog all under the one roof.  Thankfully it all came together beautifully with lots of food, fun, drinks, games and trips to the beach.

I know a lot of people think Christmas should be cold (we have a lot of English friends!) but I'll take prawns, cold beers and swims every time.

Childhood unplugged: Camping at Straddie

We got the jump on the school holidays with a sneaky little camping trip to Straddie the last weekend of school.  Our favourite camping buddies joined us and as usual, the kids had an absolute blast.

I put together a movie of what a great time they had.  Check it out and tell me that our little ones don't just have the loveliest existence.

Movie: Nat & Dave's wedding

As far as fun weddings go, I'm pretty sure this one takes the cake!

Having already had their gorgeous little family, Nat & Dave wanted a really relaxed and fun event for their friends and family who had joined them from Sydney and the UK.

They totally nailed it with a dance floor that did not empty and guests taking over the microphone for some (thankfully well executed) tunes. No one wanted it to end.  Which is possibly why you might have found us all in the carpark to the yacht club at 2am drinking champagne and eating pizza.

So. Much. Fun.

Movie: We love Bali

Some of you already know how much we love going to Bali.  Gorgeous beaches, hot weather, delicious food and lots of fun days together as a family.  What is not to love?

We were lucky enough to have a visit over Easter and as you all know, I can't resist making a little family flick of all the fun.  Click on the link below if you'd love to check out what we got up to...

Movie: Christmas 2014

Christmas in Australia is such a different experience to what you read in all the stories and see in the movies growing up.  There isn't a snowman in sight and the giant turkey is probably swapped out for a massive bowl of prawns.

This year we had the quintessential Australian Christmas, spending our day between the pool and the beach.  Many beers were consumed, prawns were peeled and trifle was spooned into our already very full bellies.

It doesn't really get much better than this.  Who needs a lousy snowman anyway?

Movie: Camping with friends sneak peek

We went camping for Anzac day with some of the bestest of the best friends our kids have.  Think sandcastles, glowsticks and chocolate covered marshmallows.  Late night movies, early morning scootering and lots of fun in between.

It has only taken me a few months to put together a sneak peek.   I hope you enjoy it.

And how great does it look to be a kid?

Father's day - You are something special!

It is Father's Day here in Australia.

A day for the giving of socks and jocks, homemade cards and keychains with photos and drawings inside them.  We typically celebrate Father's (and Mother's) day with no big ticket items, just a lot of love and creativity.

In keeping with this theme I whipped up a little movie for the kiddo's dad, showing him why we think he is something special.  It took a few evenings of surreptitious editing and a few plays for the kids when Nick was at work.

This morning we played it for Nick after we'd given him all of his little presents.  He definitely loved it.  How could I tell?  He may have gotten a little dust in both of his eyes simultaneously.  Success!!!

Here it is so you can have a little sneaky peek.

Emma & Matheus: wedding video

Another sister-in-law, another wedding video!

I just love to be a part of someone's special day.

Hayley & Simon: wedding video

My gorgeous sister-in-law got married on the weekend. Our gift to them was this film of their special day. Cue tears.

Dreamworld!!

Ollie has been asking to go to Dreamworld for ages.  So the other week we surprised him and Eve by casually driving there without even mentioning where we were going.  To say he was excited is a bit of an understatement!

Sometimes it's just nice to be an awesome parent.

Have a look at some of the fun we had.

I know it's March but...

I was doing a little bit of movie editing on a Saturday night (as you do) and I came across our family movie from Christmas.

Apologies if you are well and truly over Christmas (understandably as Easter eggs are in store) or you don't want to know what the Dowers did a few months ago.  But it made me smile and I hope it makes you smile too.

Movie project: Queenie's birthday

I had the chance to document my lovely dear friend Queenie's 7th birthday party recently.  This is the result.
